Senator Wipf Appointed to Legislative Committees Ahead of 2026 Legislative Session
HURON, S.D. – Today, Senator Brandon Wipf (R-District 22) announced he was appointed to serve on two Senate committees for the 2026 Legislative Session.
President Pro Tem Chris Karr (R-District 11) appointed Senator Wipf to serve on the Senate Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee and the Senate Local Government Committee.
“I’m honored to serve on both of these committees,” said Senator Wipf. “The issues that come before them directly affect South Dakota’s farmers, ranchers, landowners, and the most foundational forms of government, and they align with my background and experience, where I can contribute in a meaningful way.”
The 2026 Legislative Session begins on January 13, 2026, at noon, followed by the Governor’s State of the State Address at 1:00 p.m.
